The story of Mathilde M
The wonderful story of Mathilde M. begins in 2002 and draws its inspiration from the refinement and elegance of the 18th century. Since then, the brand has been bringing charm and poetry to all interiors, in a classic chic and timeless style.
Inspired by the heritage of beautiful French castles and mansions, Mathilde M. revisits tradition to reconcile excellence in artisanal know-how and creativity.
Each object is imagined and designed by the Mathilde M Creation Studio to bring softness and romanticism to the home, while celebrating the French art of living.
All the expertise of perfumery and the creativity of the brand are then expressed in its creations. Twice a year, its creative studio designs new collections inspired by the 18th century and decoration trends.
Mathilde M's team of stylists creates all its collections with enthusiasm and passion. These are created in its offices in Burgundy, in Mâcon.

Each new object is imagined and created from a hand-drawn design and exclusive designs that make our creations unique.
Emblems of the Mathilde M. brand, the scented plaster decorations are all meticulously crafted in its workshops and hand-chiseled to create high-quality objects.
Fully impregnated with fragrance, they release their sweet scent for a long time wherever they are placed. An original and authentic way to perfume small spaces in the home such as closets, drawers or luggage.
At the heart of creation
Discover the behind-the-scenes of the creation of these delicately scented objects, made using artisanal methods by our ornamental sculptor Justine. The creative journey begins with an inspiration, a desire, a sketched drawing... which slowly comes to life under her hands... She starts by creating the draft with a soft and malleable material, which will later be molded and then cast in plaster, after which she reworks it, sculpts it, refines it down to the smallest details and sands it until she obtains a perfect result, smooth of any roughness.
From this model, she creates a mold. This piece will then be duplicated and used to create the master mold that is used for our production in our workshops. The decorations are ready to be scented, fully impregnated with our delicate fragrances. Pearls, ribbons, and other ornaments are then added by hand to bring an ultimate touch of refinement to our creations.
To preserve the appearance and fragrance of your scented plasters, here are some tips:
- Avoid humidity as it could damage them.
- Do not expose them near strong heat sources such as a radiator or fireplace.
- Clean them gently with a dry cloth to avoid damaging the plaster or altering the fragrance.
Scented plaster objects are fragile and should be handled with care.
Over time, the fragrance of these objects may fade. To revive their scent, you can spray the fragrance concentrate that corresponds to the scent you have chosen directly onto the plaster.
The art of perfume
For 20 years, Mathilde M has been creating fragrances that enchant interiors with refined notes. Complex and of high quality, our perfumes are developed by Master Perfumers from Grasse and Europe.
Imagined as body perfumes, they are composed of a complex blend of numerous notes. We distinguish florals like Rose Élixir or Sublime Jasmin, woody-orientals with touches of vanilla, soft ones composed of musk or bergamot and fruity ones like Fleur de Mandarine or Figuier Dolce.
Unique, Mathilde M perfumes each tell a wonderful story. They diffuse their complex notes for a long time and take the senses on a journey.
